Commencement of Three Rivers Regional Landfill LFGTE Project

Curington Construction, LLC is proud to announce the commencement of the new LFGTE project for Three Rivers Regional Landfill in Pontotoc, Mississippi.  After a successful ground breaking, no time was wasted as the project for Three Rivers Solid Waste Management Authority began.  Working closely with Mid-South Consulting, Inc., Curington Construction, LLC expects start up of this state-of-the-art facility to be mid-January, 2012.

The facility will use methane gas emitted from the landfill to run a generator producing electricity. That electricity – up to 1 megawatt, enough to power 1,000 homes – will be sold at a premium to the Tennessee Valley Authority.
